La Pedevilla

Marebbe

Mountains somehow disconnect us a bit from the world – and at the same time they establish an emotional link with the environment. Solitude, peace and proximity to nature add a special rhythm to everyday life. This harmonic relationship was transferred to the architecture of house no 13 in Pliscia.

La Pedevilla is a modern hideaway, high up in the Dolomites, which was realized with much sensibility for the surroundings. The house opens towards the valley and thus features an impressive mountain panorama. For the friendly and bright furnishings of this holiday home, designed by Pedevilla Architects, only local materials were chosen. The floors and doors are made of local pine wood, the curtains of soft Loden textile and the walls of white Dolomite concrete. This is how architecture manages to bring a piece of nature indoors. Tradition and modernity create an ascetic entity that invites to contemplate. Sternbach provides the studio couches, the accessories and the furniture for the balcony.
